Job summary

Kiewit Power Market internship offers a hands-on learning experience in construction management within major power projects. You will participate in estimating, scheduling, and supervision under seasoned mentors, with relocation required as projects span across the United States.

The program develops skills in reading drawings, cost control, and safety practices, while collaborating with a diverse team. This full-time temporary internship aims to cultivate future leaders in heavy construction.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or related degree
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log and Primavera P6 is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel and relocate as required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements preferred

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, electrical and heavy industrial systems
• Support administrative and construction activities; review proposals, drawings, perform material takeoffs, prepare cost estimates
• Learn to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors
• Develop work plans, ensure quality control, track costs and materials, schedule equipment, assist with safety programs
• Demonstrate leadership potential in a fast-paced construction environment
