Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC is seeking a Field Engineer for our Projects Group in Aiken, SC. This role offers professional development within a DOE subcontractor project office, with exposure to multi-discipline construction activities and cost tracking.

The candidate should be organized, able to handle confidential information, proactive, and eager to learn. 0–3 years of field engineering experience and a BS in engineering are preferred; US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred (mechanical focus).
• 0–3 years of field engineering or similar experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with construction software such as P6/Bluebeam is a plus; CAD ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team to build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, electrical and heavy industrial construction.
• Support administrative and construction activities; develop proposals, specs and drawings; perform takeoffs and cost estimates; attend pre-bid meetings.
• Learn to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors.
• Prepare work plans, ensure quality control, manage costs and materials, schedule equipment, and maintain owner relations.
• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specs for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations by measurements and % completed/installed work.
