Edgewater Technical Associates in Aiken, SC is seeking a Field Engineer to join our Projects Group. This full-time role offers growth within a DOE subcontractor environment, focusing on site construction and coordination across mechanical, electrical, and heavy industrial tasks.

The ideal candidate has up to 3 years of field engineering experience, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

0-3 years of field engineering or similar relevant experience.
Strong work ethic and motivated to complete tasks correctly.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Ability to access all points of a construction site in varied environments.
Familiarity with construction software such as P6/Bluebeam is a plus.
CAD ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a diverse team to build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, electrical and heavy industrial construction.
Support administrative and construction activities; develop proposals, specifications and drawings; perform material takeoffs, prepare cost estimates and attend pre-bid meetings.
Learn to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors.
Prepare work plans, assure quality control, manage and track costs and materials, schedule equipment, and maintain owner relations.
Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work.
