Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC seeks a Field Engineer/Construction Discipline Engineer (CDE) to support the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC. The role focuses on providing field engineering for construction activities across civil/site infrastructure, piping, electrical, and related systems.

The candidate will review drawings and specifications, interpret engineering requirements for the field, perform walkdowns, resolve constructability issues, and coordinate RFIs and field changes with

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant construction or field engineering experience.
• Experience supporting civil/site construction, underground utilities, or process systems.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide field engineering support for assigned construction activities.
• Review drawings, specs, work packages, and procedures to support field work.
• Provide technical interpretation of engineering requirements to field team.
• Perform field walkdowns and verify conformance with drawings and specs.
• Develop and coordinate RFIs, field changes, and issue resolutions.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Quality, Safety, and subcontractors.
• Support material takeoffs, sequencing, testing, turnover, and closeout.
• Maintain field engineering documentation to ensure safe, quality, and schedule-compliant work.
