Job summary

JT4, LLC is seeking a Field Engineer II to perform essential field engineering tasks involving installation, operations, testing, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems. Under supervision, you will help engineers with research, standards, and technical analysis, while preparing reports and presentations for design reviews.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent training with at least seven years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain security

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering or technical discipline or similar training.
• Minimum of seven years of technical/professional experience in the field.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Planning/organizational skills required.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Assist higher-level engineers by researching and reading to obtain technical information.
• Study applicable standards, codes, and procedures.
• Perform moderately complex engineering tasks and design calculations.
• Plan engineering steps and resolve problems using standard methods.
• Support projects with limited scope and detailed instructions.
• Prepare sections of design specifications for projects.
• Conduct laboratory investigations using computer-assisted test methods.
• Assist in preparing reports, correspondence, or technical studies.
• Prepare, deliver, and submit technical presentations for design reviews.
