Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in El Paso, TX is seeking a Field Engineer 1 to support routine construction and field execution while learning fundamentals and company standards. You will work with a crew of craftsmen and participate in safety practices to deliver project goals on time.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in construction management and 0–2 years of construction experience; willingness to learn Lean concepts and utilize MS Office; opportunity to grow into Field Engineer 2

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• Participation in a federally required training or apprenticeship program (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in project-specific safety plan and culture.
• Works with tools and performs self-perform tasks embedded in a crew of craftsmen.
• Learns company standards for building processes through hands-on training.
• Builds relationships with foremen, journeymen and subcontractors.
• Collaborates with others and incorporates Lean practices into daily activities.
• Attends weekly work plans and site meetings as required.
