Job summary

Spicer Group is seeking a Field Engineer to support construction administration and inspection on public and private projects. This on-site role verifies conformance with plans, interprets specifications, and documents daily activities for the Project Manager.

You will prepare sketches, coordinate with clients and contractors, and help maintain safety and quality standards while following company procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
  • Industry certifications as region requires.

Responsibilities

  • Observes work in progress to verify conformance with specifications.
  • Prepares sketches of construction installations and incorporates changes into master plans.
  • Maintains daily inspection reports for construction activities.
  • Serves as liaison between client, contractor, and project manager.
  • Oversees and provides direction to other construction services technicians.

This position serves as a key on-site representative, observing work in progress to verify conformance with plans and specifications; interpreting requirements related to materials and workmanship; documenting daily inspection activities; and communicating field conditions, issues, and progress to the Project Manager and Construction Manager.The Field Engineer works independently on projects with complex features, collaborates in project meetings, coordinates with clients and contractors as a liaison, and prepares sketches and record information to incorporate field changes into master plans while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and company standards.THE COMPANYSpicer Group is a multi-disciplinary engineering, surveying, and planning company.
