Job summary

Spicer Group is seeking a Design Engineer to join our Water Resources / Surface Water Service Line. You will assist with design plans, calculations, and permit applications, leveraging HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS to support studies and project delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering with 0–3 years of experience and a strong willingness to learn.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to perform basic engineering calculations under supervision.
  • Familiarity with design, modeling, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in prepared design plans, specifications, permit applications, calculations, and cost estimates.
  • Support hydrologic and hydraulic calculations using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS for drafting and studies.
  • Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and project teams to deliver quality deliverables.

DESIGN ENGINEERWATER RESOURCES / SURFACE WATER SERVICE LINEPOSITION SUMMARYSpicer Group is seeking a motivated Design Engineer to join our Water Resources / Surface Water Service Line. This position will support engineering projects by assisting with the preparation of design plans, specifications, permit applications, calculations, cost estimates, and supporting project documentation. The Design Engineer will apply standard engineering practices and techniques while developing professional knowledge in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, surface water design, and related project delivery. This role may also utilize software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS to support studies, modeling, drafting, and project design efforts.
