Job summary

Spicer Group is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to support construction administration and inspection services on a variety of public and private infrastructure projects. This on-site role observes work, verifies conformance with plans and specifications, and communicates field conditions to the Project Manager and Construction Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain regional certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related engineering field.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to possess and maintain required industry certifications based on region.

Responsibilities

• Observes work in progress to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Examines workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standards.
• Interprets specifications related to materials and workmanship.
• Participates in project meetings and provides input.
• Prepares sketches of construction installations and incorporates changes into master plans.
• Maintains daily inspection report of construction inspection activities.
• Acts as liaison between client, contractor, and project manager.
• Oversees and provides direction to other construction services technicians.
• Keeps equipment and vehicle in good working condition and reports needed repairs.
• Maintains LMS safety training status.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related engineering field
