Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer assistant for work on multi-discipline construction projects. You will support the Project Engineer with drawings, submittals, change orders and RFl's while helping maintain project documentation and budgets.

Roles include BIM coordination oversight, LEED submittals, and creating ORD records. Expect collaboration with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors on safety and quality programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate with others is essential.
• Entry-level position that normally requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and other work tasks and assists with or reviews and processes submittals, change orders, RFl's, and budget forecasting.
• Ensures the administration of the project quality management plan and demonstrates and reinforces a culture of safety throughout the project.
• May assist in the calculation of daily production rates and unit costs for self-performed work; participates in risk management and environmental control processes.
• Oversee/managing BIM coordination between Subcontractors and Designers.
• Documentation and submittal for LEED certification and creating/updating ORD drawings.
• Provide lines, grades and layout for the project and maintain an organized logbook.
• Maintain weekly quantities and cost control logs; assist in budgeting and cost control to meet budget goals.
• Provide support to superintendents for execution of work and help resolve field problems.

Education

Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience
