Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking a Field Engineer in Texas to support field operations from concept to completion. You will collaborate with project engineers, superintendents, and foremen to ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency on heavy civil projects.

The role emphasizes learning leadership skills while handling quantity takeoffs, cost reporting, and coordination with subcontractors. A strong foundation in civil engineering and proactive teamwork are valued.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (preferred).
• 1+ years of experience in heavy highway, road, or bridge construction (internship or field experience a plus).
• Experience with projects $10M+ preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction software tools such as Bluebeam and AutoCAD.
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and commitment to teamwork.

Aufgaben

• Plan, track, and execute field activities with superintendents and foremen.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, cost reporting, and materials tracking.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to maintain schedules and budgets.
• Participate in work planning, project documentation, and progress meetings.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control processes.
• Identify and resolve field challenges through teamwork and problem-solving.
• Support change order management, cost reporting, and close-out documentation.
• Promote Zachry's safety culture to keep everyone safe on site.
