Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support startup, diagnostic, repair and troubleshooting of modular data centers at partner sites. You will collaborate with technicians, electricians, and project teams to ensure safe, reliable commissioning and detailed reporting.

This site-based role includes travel within the region, occasional overnight travel, and a 40-hour base with overtime. Strong electrical background and safety discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• This role requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in an electrical field or related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and interpret electrical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC power and related components.
• 5+ years in field services or equivalent industry experience.
• 3+ years of repair/service with Medium & Low Voltage gear or UPS systems.
• English proficiency for customer communication.
• Good safety practices and adherence to safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally to start up, repair and troubleshoot modular data centers at partner sites.
• Collaborate with commissioning technicians, electricians and support teams.
• Complete commissioning and expense reports; author test plans.
• Work with management to resolve escalated issues and develop technicians.
• Continue learning about products and participate in field training.
• On some days travel to US or Mexico to support other sites and projects.
