Job summary

FST Technical Services is seeking a Commissioning Project Engineer to lead field activities for data center equipment, ensuring proper design, installation, and testing of MEP systems. You will manage time, expenses, and witness testing while maintaining client relationships.

The role requires a blend of commissioning expertise, problem solving, and travel/open relocation. Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HVACR, mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in maintenance, construction, or engineering controls and/or 1+ year in data center commissioning.
• 3+ years managing interconnectivity of building equipment including pumps, fans, motors, air ventilation, chillers, boilers, steam distribution, heat absorption, BAS, electrical distribution, and fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, bid process, and related documents.

Responsibilities

• Complete in-field installation validation and testing.
• Prepare field observation reports and documentation.
• Conduct on-site and factory witness testing.
• Review submittals and design documentation.
• Lead commissioning meetings and coordinate with project teams.
