Job summary

GBA Builders in Leesburg, VA is seeking a Field Engineer to support our growing Field Operations team. You will coordinate daily construction activities, promote jobsite safety, maintain project docs and assist with field surveys.

Responsibilities include assisting with JHAs, coordinating subcontractors, scheduling materials, and ensuring alignment with project plans. Travel to project sites across the United States is required; a valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field; 1–4 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, time-management and attention-to-detail skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to GBA's Health and Safety Program.
• Assist with job hazard analyses (JHAs), safety reviews and training initiatives.
• Support supervision and coordination of subcontractors and vendors.
• Order materials and schedule deliveries to align with project schedules.
• Prepare detailed work plans and work packages.
• Assist with quality assurance equipment scheduling and interpretation of drawings/specifications.
• Verify quantity calculations and support field surveying and layout activities.
• Compile and process labor timesheets while maintaining accurate project records.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external project stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings and support additional project needs as assigned.
• Travel to and from job sites as needed to support field operations.
