Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking a Field Engineer to lead site activities, providing technical engineering information to ensure construction work complies with codes and contract specs. You will review drawings, coordinate materials, and monitor progress with project crews to keep production on schedule and within budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 1 year of construction engineering experience, along with strong communication skills and a proactive approach

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 1+ year of experience preferred in construction engineering.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily with project crews to review production schedule and ensure materials and resources are available.
• Collect, coordinate and analyze shop drawings and design specifications throughout the project.
• Provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling; identify risk elements that could affect budget or schedule.
• Track project performance, document daily activities, and report financials with cost coding.
• Review and approve daily timecards and coordinate with payroll and supervisors.
• Ensure quality assurance by reviewing project specs and managing necessary certificates and inspections.
• Plan field layouts and obtain permits before production begins.
