FlatironDragados is seeking a Field Engineer to lead on-site technical engineering, ensuring construction work adheres to standards, codes, and contract specifications. You will review drawings, plan field layouts, and coordinate crews to meet production schedules within budget.

The role requires a related bachelor's degree with 1+ year of construction experience and the ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ year of experience preferred.
• Construction engineering experience or knowledge required.
• Beginner knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications and building materials.
• Ability to interface and communicate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review production schedule and confirm all materials, equipment and resources are available.
• Collects, coordinates and analyzes shop drawings, design specifications and project data to ensure quality and compliance.
• Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling; identify risk elements affecting budget or schedule.
• Evaluates daily production, schedule and budget projections; documents daily activities using approved methods and technologies.
• Remits accurate project quantity input and cost coding; collaborates with finance for time, materials, equipment and subcontractor needs.
• Reviews and approves daily timecards; coordinates with Office Manager, Payroll and supervisors to resolve inquiries.
• Reviews project specifications for quality assurance at start, during, and after work; handles certificates and inspections.
• Plans field layout; ensures utility and commercial lines are marked; initiates permits as needed.
• Assists development of design drawings and provides technical input.
• Coordinates subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews.
