Job summary

FlatironDragados in Colorado is seeking a Field Engineer to lead project execution by providing technical engineering information to ensure work complies with all standards, codes and contract specifications. Bring your diverse ideas to build stronger communities.

In this on-site role you will review production schedules, analyze drawings and data, manage cost coding, coordinate subcontractors, and support the development of design drawings while ensuring quality and safety on the job site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
• 1+ year of experience preferred.
• Construction engineering experience or knowledge is required.
• Ability to interface and communicate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review production schedule and confirm materials, equipment and resources are available.
• Collects, coordinates and analyzes shop drawings, design specifications and project data for quality and compliance.
• Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling, identifies risk elements affecting budget or schedule.
• Evaluates daily production, schedule and budget projections and documents activity using approved methods.
• Manages project cost coding and coordinates with finance for time, materials and subcontractor needs.
• Reviews and approves daily timecards and collaborates with payroll and supervisors to resolve inquiries.
• Reviews project specs for QA at start, during, and after work; handles certificates and inspections.
• Plans field layout and ensures utilities and lines are marked; manages permits as needed.
• Assists development of design drawings and coordinates subcontractor methods and crews.
