Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 1+ year of experience preferred.
• Construction engineering knowledge or experience is required.
• Beginner knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, materials and standards is expected.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review production schedule and confirm materials, equipment and resources are available.
• Coordinates and analyzes shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data to ensure quality and compliance.
• Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling; identifies risk elements that could affect budget or schedule.
• Evaluates daily production, schedule and budget projections and documents activities.
• Manages project cost coding and works with finance to report costs for time, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Reviews and approves daily timecards with construction supervisors; resolves inquiries as needed.
• Ensures quality assurance by reviewing project specifications and managing certificates, inspections and documentation.
• Plans field layout, marks utilities and commercial lines, and initiates needed permits.
• Assists development of design drawings and provides technical input as needed.
• Coordinates subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews.
