Hensel Phelps is seeking a Field Engineer to support the Superintendent in front-line field management across our projects. The FE conducts project layout, quality control, safety initiatives, and coordination with trade partners while potentially guiding a small crew and working with the VDC team.

The role emphasizes field collaboration, problem solving, and strong communication to ensure project success and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree in civil/structural/architecture/construction management or related field.
• 1 year of experience in construction or equivalent education/experience mix.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Excel templates, ProjectSight, Primavera and AutoDesk Suite.

Responsabilités

• Project layout (surveying) per design and contract documents.
• Check concrete forms for accuracy and embedded items before placement of concrete.
• Produce production trend analyses for quantities, and support weekly/monthly schedule and cost control reports.
• Assist with quality control, site safety initiatives, and coordination of trade partners as delegated by the superintendent.
• Direct a small work force to gain supervisory experience where needed.
• Coordinate material deliveries and verify quantities against requirements and status.
