Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a civil engineering professional to provide technical engineering and cost information ensuring construction work complies with engineering standards.

You will assist with job controls, interpret drawings for craft workers, and coordinate with on-site departments to support the project schedule. A Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or related field and 2+ years of estimating support are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Scheduling and AGTEK Take-off software.
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, specifications, and materials.
• Ability to perform trigonometric calculations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specifications are followed.
• Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and support project schedule.
• Prepare and disseminate documentation records such as status reports, punch lists and material calculations.
• Develop data for estimates and bids, including quantity take-offs and labor costs.
