Job summary
Carrier, a leading global climate and energy solutions company, seeks a Field Engineer to deliver durable automation solutions for building systems. As part of Automated Logic, you will apply sound technical judgment to complex projects, own end-to-end execution, and travel to support dynamic operations.
This role emphasizes proactive problem solving and technical leadership on-site. You will collaborate with Project Managers, train owners on system operation, and maintain robust documentation
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years experience in HVAC, Building Automation, IT or Industrial Networking with IP networking, Modbus or PLC.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and be insurable.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
- Able to work at heights and use ladders or motorized lifts.
Responsibilities
- System Performance: Install, commission, and optimize DDC systems to meet performance standards.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Use technical judgment to solve automation challenges and mitigate risks.
- Technical Leadership: Train owners on system operation and collaborate with Project Managers to improve execution.
- Travel & Growth: Travel as needed and take end-to-end ownership of complex projects.
- Project Integrity: Maintain documentation and participate in reviews for continuous improvement.
