Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer assistant to serve as the technical source of information for the project. You will respond to questions about drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and change orders, and you may assist in writing change orders, RFIs, meeting minutes, and reviewing submittals.

You will maintain a professional working relationship with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position requiring a four-year construction degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and processing submittals, change orders, RFIs, and budget forecasting.
• Support project management by implementing the PMP and change management processes; help with project scope activities.
• Help administer the project quality management plan and uphold safety culture.
• Assist in calculating daily production rates and unit costs for self-performed work; track logs and reports.
• Oversee BIM coordination between subcontractors and designers.
• Contribute to LEED documentation and ORD updates.
• Provide lines, grades and layout as required and maintain logs.
• Support superintendents and help resolve field problems.
