TRM Labs seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with national-security customers, deploying our AI-powered platform into their environments, including air-gapped settings.

You will be the primary engineer in the room, translating customer needs into working software—integrations, data pipelines, and prototypes that prove out capabilities before they become products. This role blends hands-on coding with customer-facing delivery.

Competenze

• Strong programming ability in Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript, with fluency developing with AI tooling and guidance on where it helps.
• Hands-on Kubernetes: deploying, debugging and reasoning about real workloads.
• Production AWS experience—building environments, not just consuming them.
• Relational databases experience (PostgreSQL or similar).
• Ability to deliver outside primary specialty: pick up new language, datastore or platform when needed.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication; will be the only engineer in front of a customer regularly.

• Deploy, integrate and operate TRM's platform inside customer environments - cloud and air-gapped - and own the outcome, not just your slice of it.
• Sit directly with mission users, translate needs into working software, and build integrations, data pipelines, and prototypes that prove out capabilities.
• Deliver across application code, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, databases, and data flow.
• Act as the technical bridge back to TRM's product and engineering teams, carrying mission context into the roadmap.
• Diagnose and resolve hard problems in constrained environments with limited tooling and outside help.
