Job summary

Primer is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to advance our AI solutions for national security customers. You will engage with clients, scope technical requirements, and deploy our products in secure environments, working closely with product and engineering teams.

Ideal candidates have a TS clearance, hands-on cloud experience (AWS/Azure), and strong Python, Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes skills. You will play a key role in DevOps automation and customer-facing technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Active TOP SECRET clearance within the Department of Defense (DoD)
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud service provider (AWS or Azure)
• Professional experience developing and deploying Python applications; Linux, Docker and Kubernetes proficiency
• Strong DevOps skills and automation capabilities for deploying infrastructure and services
• Strong communication skills as the technical representative of Primer to customers

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, partners, and prospects to understand problems, scope technical requirements, prototype and propose effective solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy Primer products in secure environments for national security customers
• Partner with Product Management and Engineering to identify and prioritize feature development
• Train, deploy, and tune machine learning models on customer data sets
• Dig into source code to customize, integrate, and troubleshoot onsite deployments
• Provide subject matter expertise to advise DevOps and Engineering on enhancements
