Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a FIELD ENGINEER – CORE for our Advanced Facilities Group in Temple, TX. You’ll participate in safety plans, work with a crafts team, and learn building methods on complex projects.

The ideal candidate has 0-2 years of construction experience and a preferred bachelor’s degree in a related field. This role offers hands-on training, collaboration across trades, and path to growth within a national firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• Participation in a federally required training or apprenticeship program, depending upon location (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in all aspects of the project-specific safety plan and culture.
• Works with tools and performs self-perform work embedded with a crew to complete tasks.
• Develops communication and interpersonal skills with trades and project team members such as foreman, journeymen, superintendents, subcontractors, etc.
• Learns and incorporates Lean practices into daily activities.
• Participates in various meetings such as weekly work plans, as warranted by business needs and site practices.
