Pay Rate: $50/hr-$60/hr

Formal Job Description:

We are seeking a Field Engineer to support our operations in the utility industry. Responsibilities include:

1. Layout construction plans
2. Audit work under construction for compliance with standards, rules, and regulations
3. Develop project timelines and milestones
4. Order materials to support construction projects
5. Write clearances to support projects
6. Review job packages, identify and flag materials
7. Coordinate with freight POC to correct and fix material issues
8. Conduct job walks and ensure productive collaboration among parties

Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to hit the ground running.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years of experience as a Field Engineer, with at least 1.5 years in Redwood City/South Peninsula
• Experience ordering materials and submitting AFWs (Application for Work)
• Experience requesting transformer outages, tap lines, clearances, and non-test requests for electric crews
• Proficiency in Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; adaptable and eager to grow

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience with the company
• Experience with new business and maintenance tags, pole replacements; engineering background (electrical, mechanical, civil)
• Experience with SAP and outage management systems
• Understanding of submitting clearances, circuit isolation, and customer account reduction
