FIELD ENGINEER – HYBRID POWER & ENERGY STORAGE
About the Company
Our client is a global energy solutions provider that keeps critical operations running, delivering power, heating, cooling, and compressed air to customers worldwide. Their projects range from major events lasting a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities that depend on them for decades.
The Opportunity
As a Field Engineer, you'll partner with electrical engineers and project managers to install the electrical systems needed for power, HVAC, and oil-free air on gas and hybrid power plant projects. You'll be part of the company's microgrid and energy storage business.
What You'll Do
- Perform cold and hot commissioning and full validation of hybrid systems at project sites for the company's microgrid and storage solutions group, and support project delivery from execution through post-commissioning and operations & maintenance
- Work with customers, utilities, project partners, and internal teams to define each system, then implement the electrical, mechanical, and control systems that make up the product
- Apply working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls for electrical power systems, using tools and equipment for remote metering and monitoring, data acquisition, and instrumentation
- Perform and validate commissioning, operational, maintenance, and testing procedures for equipment and hybrid systems, and feed findings back to product development and design engineering teams
- Coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, commissioning, and testing activities so the work complies with specifications, codes, and customer requirements
