Job summary

Jobot is seeking a civil/field engineer to join a top-ranked, publicly traded heavy civil construction firm expanding its Texas presence in Austin. You'll work on water and wastewater infrastructure projects, spending the majority of time in the field alongside experienced engineers and subcontractors.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required, with prior field engineering experience in water treatment or related projects preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Prior field engineering experience on water treatment plant, wastewater treatment plant, or related heavy civil/water infrastructure projects strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with treatment process equipment, water bearing concrete structures, underground piping systems, and/or process mechanical installation is a plus.
• Working knowledge of project documentation: RFIs, submittals, daily reports, quantity tracking, and as built drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and mechanical construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for working with superintendents, subcontractors, and project management staff.
• OSHA 10/30 certification a plus; willingness to obtain if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Own field execution of project tasks and ensure alignment with project plans.
• Coordinate daily on-site activities with superintendents, subcontractors, and management staff.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation such as RFIs and submittals.
• Read and interpret civil, structural, and mechanical drawings and specifications to guide on-site work.
• Contribute to a culture of safety and mentorship on active job sites.

Job Details

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent hands on field experience).

Prior field engineering experience on water treatment plant, wastewater treatment plant, or related heavy civil/water infrastructure projects strongly preferred.

Working knowledge of project documentation: RFIs, submittals, daily reports, quantity tracking, and as built drawings.
