Job summary

Northwestern Mutual is seeking a Summer Intern to support the Field Engagement & Experience team, collaborating with a hiring manager, mentor, and colleagues to enhance the underwriting experience for advisors, clients, and Network Offices.

You will gain exposure to Case Management and Underwriting Relationship Manager responsibilities, develop analytical, communication, operational, and relationship-building skills, and contribute to initiatives that improve advisor and client experiences.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Incoming junior or senior (expected graduation within 1–2 years).
• Employer immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Partner with case managers and underwriters to support progression of life insurance applications and deliver a positive experience for advisors and clients.
• Analyze data and operational trends to identify insights, opportunities, and process improvements.
• Contribute to projects to increase efficiency and streamline workflows.
• Explore, test, and optimize AI-enabled tools to boost productivity.
