Northwestern Mutual is offering a Summer Intern position to support the Field Engagement & Experience team in Milwaukee. You will work with mentors to enhance the underwriting experience for advisors and clients, gaining exposure to Case Management and Underwriting Relationship Manager responsibilities.

Responsibilities include assisting with case progression, data analysis, and coordinating field engagement activities, training material development, and communications on best practices.

Qualifications

• Incoming junior or senior (expected graduation within 1-2 years).
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Management, Communications, Operations, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong interest in financial services, underwriting, operations, customer experience, or relationship management.
• Employer immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsabilités

• Partner with case managers and underwriters to support progression of life insurance applications and deliver a positive experience for advisors and clients.
• Analyze data and operational trends to identify insights and improvements for team processes.
• Contribute to projects to increase efficiency and streamline workflows.
• Explore, test, and optimize AI-enabled tools like Microsoft Copilot to boost productivity.
• Support Underwriting Relationship Managers in building partnerships with Network Office leaders and assist with field engagement activities.
• Develop presentations, training materials, and communications on underwriting best practices and digital tools.
• Research field feedback and advisor insights to identify opportunities to enhance underwriting experience.
• Assist with issue resolution and escalation management to support advisor experience and operations.
