Job summary

DNV Energy Systems seeks a Site Visit Inspector to support construction monitoring, site observation, and field-to-office technical work across diverse energy projects. You will document progress, quality, and safety observations while coordinating with civil, electrical, environmental, and HSE experts.

The role requires travel up to 70% domestically (US/Canada) with potential international assignments, and a dynamic hybrid work arrangement across multiple U.S. offices.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in wind energy, renewable energy, electrical tech, civil/construction tech, engineering technology, or closely related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of field experience in renewable energy construction, commissioning, O&M, or related sites.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn DNV reporting and digital/AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits for wind, solar, storage, and thermal projects, including active construction sites and operating facilities.
• Observe and document construction progress, QA/QC, non-conformances, and potential schedule impacts.
• Prepare concise site visit reports using approved templates and contribute to continuous improvement.
