Job summary

DNV Energy Systems seeks a Site Visit Inspector to observe, document, and report on wind, solar, storage, and thermal energy projects. The role combines field visits with in-office technical review, requiring strong communication and safety discipline.

You will conduct construction monitoring, QA/QC observations, and non-conformance reporting, while coordinating with engineers and project teams. A hybrid schedule may involve working from multiple offices and client sites across the US.

Qualifications

• Experience documenting construction progress and quality observations.
• Ability to produce concise site visit reports using templates.
• Willingness to travel across the United States and Canada.
• Strong communication with project teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits for wind, solar, battery, and thermal projects.
• Observe and document construction progress, workmanship, and QA/QC activities.
• Capture non-conformances and potential schedule impacts.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts as needed.
• Prepare accurate site visit reports using approved templates and tools.
• Support pre-visit planning and post-visit closeout activities.
• Maintain PPE, trainings, and readiness for field conditions.
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Manage travel and scheduling in line with safety protocols.
• Assist in desktop assignments during lower field-demand periods.
• Contribute to HSE incident reporting to drive safety improvements.
