Job summary

PEG, LLC is seeking motivated individuals to learn Energy Sustainability and Building Energy Performance for new residential construction. You will become a certified HERS Rater through paid on-the-job training and perform Home Energy Audits in accordance with RESNET guidelines.

Role covers a 100-mile radius around Raleigh, NC with essential field inspections, data collection, and report preparation. Outdoor work is common, and you may travel daily to job sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree is required.
• 2 years of work experience in HVAC, home remodeling, or construction is helpful.
• HERS Rater, Energy Star, Green Building or related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Home Energy Audits per RESNET/Energy Star guidelines.
• Conduct visual inspections of materials and energy features.
• Collect data and document audit findings electronically.
• Operate equipment for testing such as blower door, ventilation, and duct tests.
• Travel within a 100-mile radius centered on Raleigh, NC.
