Job summary

PEG, LLC seeks motivated individuals to learn Energy Sustainability and Building Energy Performance for new residential construction. You will become a certified HERS Rater and perform Home Energy Audits in line with RESNET guidelines, including data collection and on-site testing.

On-the-job training is provided, with travel across a 100-mile radius around Pittsburgh, PA, to assess energy features and report findings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• HERS Rater Certification and related certifications are a plus.
• 2 years of HVAC, home remodeling, or construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Home Energy Audits per RESNET/Energy Star guidelines.
• Conduct visual inspections of materials, ductwork, insulation, and HVAC components.
• Test system performance using blower door, ventilation, and duct leakage tests.
• Develop relationships with builders and code officials through professional communication.
• Prepare electronic audit reports and complete internal paperwork.
• Ensure equipment maintenance per policy and manufacturer specs.
• Travel within assigned 100-mile radius around Pittsburgh, PA.
