Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide Basic Life Support for emergency and non-emergency requests. The role requires safe patient transport, collaboration with emergency services, and documentation per policy.

Strong communication and computer skills are essential, as is adherence to NJ state regulations and HMH protocols. The EMT will participate in multiple transport settings and shift patterns, ensuring high-quality care and seamless handoffs

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current NJ EMT certification or National Registry with NJ reciprocity required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support public safety personnel and healthcare providers during patient care.
• Assess patient and provide Basic Life Support per protocol.
• Complete patient care reports accurately and timely.
• Operate EMS vehicles safely and abide by all vehicle operation guidelines.
• Participate in Quality Assurance activities and continuous training.
