Job summary

Epicor is seeking a Product Developer, Forward Deployed Engineering. You will embed with customers, learn operations from the inside, and write production-grade software that runs in live ERP environments. You will own end-to-end delivery from discovery to deployment and bring field learnings back to shape our product roadmaps.

This role requires engineering depth, customer empathy, and the ability to operate across complex, real-world environments with AI-enabled ERP foundations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years in software engineering, solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or technical delivery.
• Strong hands-on coding in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#.
• Experience integrating software with enterprise systems (APIs, data pipelines, authentication/SSO, cloud platforms).
• Direct customer-facing experience from discovery to delivery with technical and business stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel 20–40% to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers on-site and virtually to observe workflows and identify root causes.
• Build production-grade software integrated with Epicor platforms and customer systems.
• Own the technical path from discovery through deployment and post-go-live iteration.
• Navigate legacy systems, ETL pipelines, enterprise SSO, and security requirements.
• Translate field learnings into reusable patterns and platform capabilities.
• Prototype rapidly, gather feedback from users, and iterate with the customer.
• Earn and maintain trust with customer engineers, operators, and leadership.
