Job summary

Epicor is seeking a Product Developer in Forward Deployed Engineering to embed with customers, learn operations, and build production-grade solutions end-to-end. Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical delivery.
• Hands-on coding in at least one modern language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#).
• Experience in large, unfamiliar codebases and complex environments.
• Demonstrated integration with enterprise systems (APIs, data pipelines, SSO, cloud).
• Direct customer-facing experience across discovery, requirements, design and delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

As a Product Developer in Forward Deployed Engineering, you will embed with customers, learn their operations, and build production‑grade solutions to real business problems. You will own the problem end to end, working with Product Managers, UX Designers, engineers, and customer stakeholders from discovery through deployment, and bring what you learn back into Epicor’s product teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Navigate legacy systems, ETL pipelines, SSO, security, regulatory constraints, and production access challenges.
• Translate field work into reusable patterns, connectors, platform capabilities, and roadmap insights.
• Prototype rapidly, gather feedback, and iterate directly with users.
• Build and maintain trust with customer engineers, operators, executives, and internal Epicor teams.

Required Experience

• 4+ years of software engineering, solutions engineering, forward‑deployed engineering, or technical delivery.
• Hands‑on coding ability in at least one modern language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#).
• Experience working in large, unfamiliar codebases and complex technical environments.
• Demonstrated integration with enterprise systems (APIs, data pipelines, SSO, cloud platforms).
• Direct customer‑facing experience across discovery, requirements gathering, design, and delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites (typically 20–40%).

Additional Preferred Skills

• Deploying AI/ML or LLM‑based solutions with RAG, prompt engineering, and agentic orchestration.
• Enterprise SaaS platforms, cloud‑based systems, and security, compliance, and data‑residency knowledge.
• ERP, manufacturing, distribution, retail, or supply‑chain operational workflows.
• ETL processes, data pipelines, and enterprise data integration patterns.
