Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to lead acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical systems up to 500kV. You will analyze test data and prepare comprehensive reports while mentoring junior technicians in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

The role requires up to 75% travel, is based in the US, and offers competitive hourly compensation with bonuses and full benefits.

Qualifications

• NETA III/IV certification current and in good standing.
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards.
• Ability to read one-line/three-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures under time-critical conditions.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians in the field and serve as technical lead on multi-discipline teams.
