IES is seeking an Electric Technician to support electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on residential and commercial projects. You will read blueprints, diagnose issues with meters and testers, and ensure work complies with NEC standards and OSHA safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or construction preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and electrical documentation.
• Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and local electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential or commercial environments, including post-construction service.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using meters and circuit testers.
• Run conduit and wire per NEC standards.
• Coordinate with general contractors and other trades on site activities.
• Complete job documentation and service reports with materials used.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
