Job summary

Plains is seeking a Junior E&I Technician to provide electrical and instrumentation support across field assets such as tank farms, pump stations, and control centers. You will install, calibrate, maintain, and repair equipment, working under supervision with potential direction from certified tradespeople in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

This field-based role includes working outdoors in extreme heat or cold and requires good communication, teamwork, and the ability to read

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical degree, apprenticeship, or 2 years field experience preferred.
Read and comprehend electrical drawings; basic math skills required.
Ability to speak, read and write English; team-oriented communicator.

Responsibilities

Performs inspections and maintenance of electrical equipment at substations and pump stations.
Maintains service records, creates work orders and tracks parts.
Tests transmitter, safety and protective devices for proper operation.
Installs SCADA, DCS, HMI and PLC equipment and related wiring.
Assists senior personnel with field operations and line location tasks.
Completes regulatory paperwork, permits, near-miss and incident reports.
