Job summary

Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) is seeking an E&I Technician to provide electrical and instrumentation support across Plains assets, including tank farms and pump stations. You will install, calibrate, maintain, and repair equipment, troubleshoot complex problems, and ensure accurate maintenance records and preventative schedules.

This field‑based role involves exposure to open environments, high voltage, and chemical considerations.

Qualifications

• Must be a ticketed Electrical Journeyperson.
• 5–10 years of gas plant, refinery, pipeline, or oilfield experience.
• Ability to read English, perform basic math, and work in a team environment.
• Read electrical drawings, maps, and technical manuals; perform load studies.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, calibration, and repair of electrical/instrumentation systems.
• Configure DCS, HMI, and PLCs; troubleshoot control systems and logic.
• Maintain electrical distribution systems and high voltage panels.
• Provide on‑call support for emergency response and maintenance.
• Communicate problems and recommendations to management.
• Lead or assist with contract/maintenance crews as needed.
