Job summary

Plains in Pecos, Texas is seeking Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians to join our field team. You will install, calibrate, maintain, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems across our pipeline and terminal assets.

A safety-focused mindset and ability to work outdoors in varied weather are essential. The role emphasizes self-starting initiative, teamwork, and the ability to read electrical drawings and manuals while complying with PHMSA/OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or two years of field experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, pipeline maps, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of electrical codes for pipeline/facility operations.
• Experience with high voltage electrical systems and safety.
• Proficiency installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical systems.
• Familiarity with PHMSA and OSHA regulations; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Support Plains' extensive pipeline and terminal assets in Pecos, TX.
• Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
