Job summary
Kinder Morgan seeks an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation, control, and analytical systems across amine plants and compressor stations. The role requires field work, calibration, preventive maintenance, and on-call readiness, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will have two years of related experience, familiarity with PLCs (Allen-Bradley) and HMI platforms, and the ability to work independently at sites within
Qualifications
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience with instrumentation and electrical components related to amine plant operations, compressor stations, gas measurement and Burner Management Systems.
- Basic knowledge of 4-20mA control and transmitters.
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs and HMI platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC systems using Rockwell software tools.
Responsibilities
- Reside within a 1hr radius of Laredo or George West, TX.
- Maintain instrumentation and electrical assets safely and in compliance with regulations and policies (PLC systems, burner management systems, generators, motors).
- Assist with operation of amine plants and compressor stations as directed by supervision.
- Develop and maintain facility grounding systems; participate in project planning and control system design.
- Calibrate, test, inspect, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems; manage spare parts inventory.
