Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Maintenance Technician I (Electrical Controls Technician I) to support safe and reliable energy delivery. You will monitor electrical systems, maintain DC power and control networks, and work with PLCs and HMIs in a field setting at pipeline facilities.

You will join a safety-focused team, performing station inspections, equipment maintenance, and documentation while occasionally coordinating with contractors and weekends or on-call coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years of relevant training/experience.
• Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training or experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication to relay basic information.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, inspect, and maintain electrical systems and equipment, including switchgear, motors, generators, pumps, and fans.
• Maintain DC systems such as batteries, chargers, rectifiers, and inverters.
• Support maintenance of PLCs, HMIs, and control networks; service sensors, switches, and actuators.
• Maintain and test safety systems including ESD panels and gas detectors.
• Perform station maintenance tasks and assist with schedule adherence, weekends, and travel as required.
• Respond to abnormal operations with proper documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate within a team; guide contractors or junior staff when needed.
• Follow policies, SOPs, and O&M procedures; contribute to planning and budgeting.
