Job summary

The Tillamook County Creamery Association seeks an Electrical Inspector to review plans, inspect electrical installations, and ensure compliance with state and local codes. You will provide code interpretations and conduct on-site inspections for residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

Under supervision of the Building Official, you will use your knowledge of Oregon codes and regulations to guide contractors and homeowners, maintaining thorough records and clear communications with

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience as an electrical inspector.
• Must have passed the General Journeyman and Oregon EI exams.
• Must possess Oregon Supervisors license and an EI Certification.
• Within one year of hire, must obtain OIC certification.
• Must possess a valid Oregon driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing and criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, drawings, and specs for proposed electrical projects for conformance to regulations.
• Provide code interpretation regarding permits and compliance procedures.
• Inspect electrical work in all construction phases and maintain inspection records.
• Issue Stop Work orders as directed and assist the public with questions on-site.
• Collaborate with builders, architects, engineers, and authorities to ensure fair code interpretations.
