Qualifications

• Three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience as an electrical inspector.
• Must have passed the General Journeyman and Oregon supervisors, commercial, EI inspectors exams.
• Oregon Supervising Electrician license; EI Certification; A-level Certification in electrical inspection.
• Within one year of hire, must have OIC certification.
• Valid Oregon driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation inspections for residential, manufactured, RV and commercial sites.
• Provide technical guidance and work independently to perform full duties.
• Review plans, drawings, and specifications for conformance to regulations.
• Explain code requirements, provide permit information, and ensure compliance.
• Inspect work across all construction phases and verify licenses and permits.
• Maintain inspection records and conduct final inspections.
• Issue Stop Work orders when directed by Building Official.
• Assist the public at job sites and office counters with technical questions.
