Job summary

Design Solutions and Integration (DSI) seeks an experienced Electrical Estimator to support Midland operations. The role involves field walks, estimating from on-site requests, and frequent travel to Permian Basin sites with a 55‑electrician field crew.

You will build budgets, generate labor hours, and maintain the McCormick database while coordinating with project managers and sales teams. Training in McCormick is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Ability to conceptualize, design-build, and estimate from site walks.
• Proven Oil & Gas estimating experience in midstream/upstream.
• Strong cross-functional communication with sales, operations and PMs.
• Willingness to travel to industrial sites across the Permian Basin.
• Knowledge of NEC, hazardous areas, and grounding.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Cross‑divisional collaboration: evaluate opportunities, assist in bids, and support client meetings.
• Project hand‑offs: review labor hours, budgets, and scope with Project Managers after award.
• Design‑build scoping: perform field walks to identify requirements and estimate without blueprints.
• End‑to‑end estimating: convert field notes and client scopes into material and labor takeoffs using McCormick.
• Database customization: maintain and adapt the McCormick database for local conditions.
• Hazardous environments: scope and budget for Class I, Div 1 & 2 sites and fittings.
• Client consultation: build relationships and provide budget guidance during walks.
