Job summary

Design Solutions and Integration is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support Permian Basin operations from Midland, TX. This role requires field walks with customers to scope and estimate projects without formal drawings.

The ideal candidate has strong industrial electrical estimating experience, a background in Oil & Gas, and proficiency in McCormick Systems; willingness to travel across the region is essential.

Qualifications

• Conceptual estimating from field walks without engineering drawings.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, midstream, upstream or heavy industrial sectors.
• Ability to communicate across sales, operations and PMs.
• 2+ years with McCormick Systems or related estimating software.
• Willingness to travel frequently to industrial sites.
• Strong NEC knowledge for hazardous areas.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Commitment to safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales to evaluate opportunities and bid competitively.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on labor hours and material budgets.
• Conduct field walks to define requirements and estimate without blueprints.
• Translate field notes into material and labor takeoffs using McCormick.
• Maintain and adapt McCormick database for local conditions and crew rates.
• Scope hazardous environments (Class I, Division 1/2) budgeting.
• Advise customers with technical solutions and budget guidance during walks.
