Job summary

Guardian Glass seeks an EHS Specialist to join our DeWitt, IA team. You will help protect workers, understand plant processes, and strengthen health and safety across the facility, working with employees, supervisors, engineers, and leadership.

You will lead risk assessments, support OSHA compliance, and develop practical EHS training while collaborating with the broader team on site-wide improvements and environmental initiatives.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of EHS/safety experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Experience communicating with employees, supervisors, and leaders to drive safety improvements.

Responsibilities

• Observe field processes to understand plant tasks and how work is performed.
• Support OSHA compliance and other EHS regulations with operations and leadership.
• Improve critical health and safety programs (LOTO, machine safety, PPE, etc.).
• Lead risk assessments for routine and non-routine work.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses to drive corrective actions.
• Deliver practical EHS training for staff and supervisors.
• Collaborate to build health and safety capability across the site.
• Participate in field audits, inspections, and proactive risk-reduction activities.
• Support environmental activities (air, water, waste) as needed.
