Job summary

Guardian Glass in DeWitt, IA is seeking an EHS Specialist to protect workers and improve safety across the manufacturing facility. You will partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership to identify risks and strengthen safety systems.

In this role you will develop training, conduct field observations, support environmental activities as needed, and stay current with regulations to translate requirements into practical solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in EHS or related manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication with employees, supervisors, and leaders to drive safety improvements.

Responsibilities

• Spend meaningful time in the field to understand plant processes and tasks.
• Help implement OSHA compliance and other EHS regulations with operations and leadership.
• Support and improve critical health and safety programs (LOTO, machine safety, PPE, etc.).
• Facilitate risk assessments for routine and non-routine work.
• Support incident investigations with focus on learning and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver practical EHS training for staff and supervisors.
